Using container solutions often makes a lot of sense in remote locations as transportation of building material and builders can add unpleasantly to the investment cost. Further a container solution can easily be moved to another location and even sold if the need of it no longer is there.

One 20 foot container roughly provides the capacity for a wastewater treatment plant handling the waste for 90 people (13,5 m3 per day). While it will require 11 containers to handle the wastewater for 1,000 people (150 m3 per day).
